About Oxus

Oxus automates internal audit workflows for public and pre-IPO companies. Companies including leading payroll providers, public biotechs, and social media enterprises run their internal audits through Oxus.

Internal audit teams at some of the world's largest companies still spend enormous amounts of time manually gathering, reviewing, and documenting information to make sure their businesses are operating as they should. Oxus uses AI to automate this work while preserving the traceability, reviewability, and judgment that audit requires.

We're a team of three recent MIT grads with backgrounds across engineering, AI, finance, and consulting.

We're hiring our first Founding Auditor to help define how great audit work gets done with AI.

What you’ll do

  • Sit at the intersection of audit, product, and go-to-market
  • Work directly with internal audit leaders and teams across prospects, pilots, and customers, understanding their methodologies and pain points, supporting adoption, and expanding their use of Oxus
  • Partner with the founders on go-to-market, and join sales and demo conversations
  • Review AI-generated audit work and ensure outputs meet the quality, rigor, and documentation standards expected from experienced auditors
  • Work closely with engineers to translate audit methodology and judgment into product workflows
  • Perform real audit workflows in Oxus, test new AI capabilities, and identify where they need to improve
  • Build audit methodologies, evaluation datasets, and standards for measuring AI output quality
  • Turn what you learn into scalable improvements across the product, audit methodology, and customer experience

Your first three months

Week one

Use Oxus to complete and review real audit workflows, and join customer and prospect calls.

Month one

Contribute to demos and pilots, own audit quality for key product workflows, and work directly with engineering to improve them.

Quarter one

Own a meaningful area of Oxus's audit methodology and customer motion, proactively driving improvements across product, adoption, and go-to-market.

Who we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of audit experience across Big 4 external audit, internal audit, SOX, or related experience
  • Deep knowledge of SOX and internal audit, business process controls, ITGCs, process walkthroughs, D&I, TOD/TOE, evidence collection, sampling, workpapers, risk assessments, and audit reporting
  • Excellent audit judgment and attention to detail
  • Moves quickly while maintaining a high bar for quality
  • Strong communicator, comfortable working directly with CAEs, audit leaders, and other senior stakeholders
  • Willing to question how audit has traditionally been done and rethink what's possible with AI
  • Willing to take on work outside a narrowly defined job description
  • Excited to work intensely alongside the founding team. Expected hours are around 9–5 on weekdays, with occasional work on weekends. This role can be remote/hybrid, with opportunities to work with the team in San Francisco.

You do not need to be an engineer or have traditional sales experience. We care much more about your audit judgment, how you think, and your ability to translate that expertise into a better product.

Strong bonuses

  • CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant credentials
  • Experience across multiple industries, companies, or audit methodologies
  • Experience implementing, administering, or improving GRC/audit technology
  • Experience with AI tools, prompt design, or evaluating AI-generated work
  • Technical experience with SQL, Python, APIs, or data analysis
  • Startup experience, or evidence that you thrive in fast-moving, high-ownership environments

Why Oxus

You'll get a front-row seat to how leading internal audit teams operate and help rethink workflows that have been done the same way for decades. Instead of improving one audit at a time, the methodologies you develop can shape how audit work gets done at scale.

We're a close-knit team that works hard, moves quickly, and has fun doing it. You'll work directly with the founders, engineers, and customers, and have meaningful influence from day one.
